The funder also backed new titles from Banger Films, Moon Astronaut Studios and First Nation Films through its Short-Form Digital Series Fiction Program.
The funds are provided through Telefilm’s selective production program, with recent Oscar nominee Marianne Farley (pictured) among the recipients.
This year’s program will support a total of 31 English- and French- language projects, made up of 28 feature films and three web formats.
The program is aimed at encouraging and training female entrepreneurs to build and grow their businesses within various screen-based industries.
