The Quebec Film and Television Council says more than 4,000 people have lost jobs in the last 20 months following a tax credit change.
The first phase of the program for B.C.-based women and gender-diverse creators begins this month.

The participants will begin the 13-week training program starting Sept. 3.
The dramatic feature Une Splendeur de vivre is now filming in Montreal before heading overseas.
The program provides funding for production and post-production work on scripted and unscripted films and series from B.C.-owned companies.
