Washington public TV station KCTS 9 is looking to partner with indie producers in Alberta to develop multi-part factual programs.
The project is the first under the recently-established Essential 11 Media Group partnership with Los Angeles-based Essential Media and Entertainment.
The series, based on the musical fitness adventure concept for schools and theatres from Judy and David (pictured) and Education Arts Canada, will begin production this summer.

The co-founders of the digital producer, acquired by Shaftesbury Films in 2008, are “moving on from their roles in order to pursue other opportunities.”
The Consortium is bringing back its broadcast features, which debuted during the 2010 Vancouver Games, to be aired on multiple platforms.
The program will offer 18 producers the opportunity to complete five-month job placements at Ontario-based transmedia prodcos.
He replaces Rod Schween, who recently became president of the western Canadian TV and radio broadcast group.
Production will commence this month at DHX’s Halifax CGI animation production studio.
