The fall sked will include seven original lifestyle series including Italian cooking show L’Arte Di Cucinare.
The drama will be produced by Gail Harvey and Katie Boland’s new prodco in partnership with Serendipity Point Films.
The cast for the half-hour comedy series was also revealed Wednesday, which will be shot and set in Sudbury, ON.
Smith, who most recently served as director of special projects at TIFF, joins Hot Docs on Oct. 5.
The U.S. net has pulled the plug on the series after five seasons.
Dublin-based Brown Bag Films, which produces animated kids series such as Octonauts (pictured) and Doc McStuffins, is now under the 9 Story Media Group umbrella.
