Project 10’s multi-cam comedy Spun Out bowed to an overnight audience of 401,000 on Tuesday at 8 p.m., according to Numeris data provided by Bell Media.
The ratings for the season two premiere of Spun Out represent a 7% drop in ratings from the season one finale of the series, a Bell Media spokesperson told Playback Daily.
Bell announced Monday morning Spun Out would return to TV, about six months after a preview episode of season two was initially scheduled to air in a post-Super Bowl slot on CTV. The broadcaster then yanked Spun Out from the airwaves in January after series actor Jean Paul Manoux was arrested by Toronto police and charged with voyeurism. At the time, CTV said in a statement that all future broadcasts plans for Spun Out had “been suspended indefinitely.”
The season one bow of the series – which had considerably more lead time and promotion between the announcement of the air date and the actual premiere – pulled in an overnight audience of 1.2 million in its 8:30 p.m. Thursday slot on CTV.
Spun Out stars Dave Foley, Paul Campbell and Rebecca Dalton, and was co-created by Jeff Biederman, Brent Piaskoski and Brian K. Roberts. Andrew Barnsley executive produces Spun Out along with Roberts, who also directs.
