The partnership will see the two companies develop comedy and drama projects for the Canadian and international market.
The drama will be produced by Gail Harvey and Katie Boland’s new prodco in partnership with Serendipity Point Films.
The cast for the half-hour comedy series was also revealed Wednesday, which will be shot and set in Sudbury, ON.
The former comedy channel is being remade into a “handmade” brand, starting Monday, Aug. 24.

In addition to the executive appointments, the prodco has also hired a creative director as it increases its focus on growth and international sales.
Ian MacDonald, Jennifer Kennedy and Bradley Walsh are attached to the project, which is being coproduced by former Cineflix exec Christina Wayne’s Assembly Entertainment.
