The 40th IDA Documentary Awards will be handed out in L.A. on Dec. 5.

The program is run by Anthony Q. Farrell through his prodco Canfro Productions.
Other winners include Bobby Singh Brown’s Stealing Vows for the Audience Choice Award and Amir Zargara’s A Good Day Will Come for Outstanding Short Film.
Eight organizations representing 87,000 creatives, talents and crews signed an open letter calling for stricter requirements on adhering to minimum labour standards.
The film is a feature-length adaptation of Thomas’ 2023 short film Redlights.
The Horseshoe Valley, Ont.-based director has also wrapped on a second feature, LA Jesus.
