Saul Rubinek and former World Wrestling Entertainment TV star Trish Stratus have joined Allan Ungar’s action thriller Gridlocked.

Rubinek is to play a Hollywood agent, and Stratus a lead member of a SWAT team.

The ensemble cast for the film, which is financed and produced by Hackybox Pictures, already includes Danny Glover, Richard Gunn, Dominic Purcell, Stephen Lang, Vinnie Jones and Cody Hackman.

The film sees Purcell play an ex-SWAT leader who is being pursued by a cocky movie star (Hackman).

Together, they must find unity among the surviving members of a training facility that must fight a team of mercenaries.

Ungar is directing Gridlocked, which is shooting in Toronto and London, ON, and is based on a script he co-wrote with Rob Robol.
