Syfy has renewed the Canadian time-traveling drama Continuum for a third season.
The U.S. cable channel ordered another 13 episodes of the sci-fi series from Reunion Pictures that stars Rachel Nichols as a cop from the future who finds herself trapped in present-day Vancouver.
Syfy will air the latest cycle in 2014.
The second season of Continuum is the top-rated original cable drama on Fridays at 10 p.m. in the adults 18-49, 25-54 and total viewer demos, according to Syfy.
Based on Live +7 data, the series is averaging 728,000 adults 18-49, and 1.8 million total viewers, up 21 percent in each category from season one.
The Canadian drama, which airs on Showcase in Canada, co-stars Victor Webster and Erik Knudsen (Jericho).
Executive producers are series creator Simon Barry, Pat Williams and Tom Rowe.
