Syfy has renewed Newfoundland and Labrador-shot horror series SurrealEstate for a third season.
The U.S. network announced on Wednesday (Feb. 14) that the series would return with season three as part of its slate of scripted originals, which includes Reginald the Vampire (Great Pacific Media, Modern Story, December Films, Cineflix Studios) and Toronto-shot U.S. series Chucky.
SurrealEstate is created by George Olson and produced by Toronto- and Cape Town-based Blue Ice Pictures. The series stars Tim Rozon (Wynonna Earp) as a real estate agent that can also commune with the dead.
Executive producers on SurrealEstate include Olson, Daniel Iron, Lance Samuels, Armand Leo and Danishka Esterhazy.
Bell Media’s CTV Sci-Fi Channel has aired the series in Canada for its first two seasons. The broadcaster did not return a request for comment on its renewal status in Canada.
SurrealEstate season two was Syfy’s No. 1 original scripted series in its timeslot for total viewers and the 18 to 49 demo, according to a news release.
