The Canada’s Got Talent season finale was the only Canadian TV show that made it to the top 30 national TV chart between May 16 to 22.
Produced by Fremantle, SYCO Entertainment and McGillivray Entertainment Media Inc., the Citytv talent competition show ranked at No. 21 in the national list, attracting 884,000 viewers, according to Numeris.
The national list was led by U.S. competition series Survivor, with more than 1.702 million viewers on Global, followed by Fox’s 9-1-1 with 1.569 million viewers on Global and then by the Vancouver-shot American scripted drama The Good Doctor, with 1.546 million viewers on CTV.
Canada’s Got Talent also ranked in the top 30 Toronto/Hamilton regional list at No. 25, attracting 173,000 viewers.
The Quebec francophone list was led by the quiz game show hosted by Guy Jodoin, Le Tricheur, with 849,000 viewers, followed closely by unscripted wildlife show Un zoo pas comme les autres, with 814,000 viewers. Coming in third on the list was the French-language version of Dragons’ Den, Dans l’oeil du dragon, with 736,000 viewers.
