Changes in TIFF’s executive ranks continued into 2019 with the news that its director of programming Kerri Craddock is leaving the festival after more than a decade.

A TIFF spokesperson confirmed that Craddock has resigned to focus on her family and “discover what her next steps will be in the film industry.” The news was first reported by Screen Daily.

Craddock has been with the festival since 2007. She was named director of programming in 2014, having previously served as senior manager, festival programming between 2011 to 2013.

TIFF is now looking for a senior director of film to oversee festival and year-round programming with the aim of hiring Craddock’s replacement by early spring.

The departure follows a year of significant change for the festival, as 2018 saw the retirement of longtime director and CEO Piers Handling and executive director and COO Michèle Maheux. Handling officially retired at the end of 2018, while Maheux stepped away from her role on Nov. 1. She is currently helping to oversee the transition period before departing in 2019.

TIFF is co-headed by artistic director Cameron Bailey and newly hired executive director Joana Vicente. The festival also shuffled its programming team in 2018 after former senior manager of theatrical programming Magali Simard stepped down at the end of 2017.
