Toronto-based producer, distributor and channel operator Blue Ant Media is launching two of its FAST channels on Los Angeles-based streamer Pluto TV in the U.S. for the first time.
As part of an expansion of its deal with the Paramount Global-owned company, the channels Love Nature and Homeful will launch on Pluto TV in the U.S. sometime in the fall.
The deal with Pluto TV also includes a multi-genre content licensing package for Pluto TV in the U.S with programming from Blue Ant Studios’ distribution catalogue for AVOD, building on their previously licensed programming.
The deal expands on Blue Ant’s previous FAST partnerships with Pluto TV across other regions including Canada, the U.K. and Latin America, according to the Tuesday (Oct. 22) release.
Blue Ant Media’s Julio Sobral, SVP channel distribution and Bryan Gabourie, SVP, international sales and partnerships collaborated to broker the deal with Pluto TV.
Among the series that will be available on Pluto TV in the U.S. is Love Nature’s Wildlife ER (6 x 60 minutes; pictured), which follows professionals and volunteers as they care for and rescue animals in Australia; and Homeful’s Filthy Garden SOS (6 x 60 minutes), where professional gardeners help homeowners with their unruly gardens.
“The launch of Love Nature and Homeful on Pluto TV in the U.S. marks an important milestone for these premium brands as we expand their footprint across an even larger, engaged streaming audience in this key market,” said Carlyn Staudt, Blue Ant Media’s EVP, global channels and streaming, in a statement. “We’re thrilled to grow our existing global partnership with Pluto TV as a significant platform in the success of our global channels strategy.”
