Paramount

Paramount’s SVOD and AVOD services have secured new deals for content and channels on their respective platforms.

Paramount+ is now the streaming home of the series Yellowstone in Canada. All seasons of the series, produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, became available on the streamer in Canada as of Tuesday (Nov. 7), including the first eight episodes of the fifth and final season. The show’s prequels 1883 and 1923 are also available for viewers in Canada.

Meanwhile, Montreal-headquartered music, media and tech company Stingray has added five free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channels on Pluto TV in Canada.

The five channels — Stingray Naturescape, Qello Concerts by Stingray, Stingray Classica, Stingray DJAZZ, and Stingray CMusic — are now live. Qello Concerts and Stingray DJAZZ offer concert films and music documentaries, while Stingray CMusic blends classical music with visuals. Stingray Naturescape combines “tailor-made” soundtracks with scenery and Stingray Classica is the home for classical music concerts, operas, and ballets from venues around the world.

Disney

Air Canada is bringing Disney+ originals to the skies through its in-flight entertainment (IFE) system in the latest collaboration between the airline and Disney.

The collaboration is part of Air Canada’s investment in its “family-focused travel experience,” said a news release, and will see Disney+ originals such as the first three episodes of Loki from season one and Obi-Wan Kenobi board its roster of IFE content.

A selection of episodes from Limitless with Chris Hemsworth, Cars on the Road and Zootopia+, and movies such as Disenchanted and Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers, will also be available, among other content, starting this month.

The deal builds on Air Canada’s previous Disney collaborations, including the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida-themed inflight safety video and Disney-Pixar’s Turning Red special livery, according to the release.
