3 Arts Entertainment boards Citytv’s Wong & Winchester

The partnership with Pixcom and distributor Lionsgate Television is the talent firm's first collaboration since opening its Canadian office.

#1 marissaTalent management firm and prodco 3 Arts Entertainment has joined as a production partner on the Citytv detective procedural Wong & Winchester, now in production in Montreal.

The series is produced by Pixcom in association with Lionsgate Television, which holds worldwide distribution rights, excluding Canada. Trevor Rotenberg and Luke Maxwell of 3 Arts will serve as executive producers alongside Pixcom’s Nicola Merola, Charles Lafortune and Sylvie Desrochers.

The partnership with 3 Arts is the first collaboration since the company opened its Canadian office earlier this year, according to a news release. It builds on the existing partnership with Lionsgate, which is a majority shareholder of 3 Arts.

image002Wong & Winchester was commissioned by Rogers Sports & Media channel Citytv for a mid-season premiere in the 2022-23 broadcast year and was created by co-showrunner Hollis Ludlow-Carroll. Chris Pozzebon (The Hardy Boys) also serves as co-showrunner. Nathalie Cécyre is a producer while Stephan Beaudoin serves as director.

The series stars Grace Lynn Kung (Transplant; pictured above) and Sofia Banzhaf (Closet Monster; pictured right) as an unlikely pair working as private detectives after a chance encounter.

Agapy Kapouranis, president of international television and digital distribution at Lionsgate, said the company intends to “give audiences around the world the opportunity to enjoy this compelling new show,” while Rotenberg adds that 3 Arts looks forward to “doing many more” partnerships with Citytv, Pixcom and Lionsgate.
