Blue Ant grows Love Nature’s European footprint

Following a multi-year deal with European pay-TV operator Sky, the natural history channel is next set to launch on Antik Telecom in Slovakia.

Blue Ant Media is expanding Love Nature’s presence in the European market through a newly inked deal with Antik Telecom in Slovakia.

Brokered by Chiara McKee, Blue Ant’s VP of kids and global networks for EMEA, the deal includes hundreds of hours of Love Nature originals such as Dogs with Extraordinary Jobs, four-part diving series Great Blue Wild and Monkey Island, about an ancient Sri Lankan citadel that has been claimed by monkeys.

Love Nature has made inroads in the European market over the past two years, most recently signing a multi-year deal with European pay-TV operator Sky in the U.K., Ireland, Germany, Austria and Italy. The deal with Antik Telecom also expands Love Nature’s Slovakian footprint, after the channel launched on the M7-owned pay-TV platform Skylink in June 2019.

Other recent deals have seen the natural history channel launch in Switzerland and the Netherlands (via IPTV platform Swisscom and Netherlands-based TV service KPN, respectively). As well, the Love Nature SVOD service is available in more than 60 countries internationally, including the U.K. via Amazon.
