Shaftesbury hires Lesley Grant as creative producer

The former Temple Street producer will help grow Shaftesbury's creative slate.

lesley grantShaftesbury has bolstered its creative team, hiring Lesley Grant as a creative producer.

Based out of Toronto, Grant will help guide the prodco’s growing creative slate, reporting to Julie Lacey, VP, creative development.

Grant’s appointment marks her return to Shaftesbury after serving as senior development producer at Temple Street, where she worked on series such as X Company and Cavendish. She was Shaftesbury’s director of creative affairs from 2008 to 2010. Grant has also worked as a drama development executive at CTV, along with positions at CBC, Barna-Alper and White Pine Pictures.

This is the latest in a number of recent appointments at Shaftesbury. Former CBC marketing expert Dylen Postnikoff joined in March 2019 in the newly-created role of VP, global brand strategy. The prodco later announced its first international hire in April 2019, tapping Alexandra Finlay in the U.K.-based role of senior director, creative and coproductions.

Shaftesbury’s current creative slate includes the crime procedural Hudson & Rex and the upcoming Global series Departure.
