Blue Ant heads to some Great Canadian Cottages

Set to premiere this fall, the docuseries produced by Toronto's Architect Films will see Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan visit unique cottages in the Canadian wilderness.

Toronto’s Blue Ant Media is teaming up with Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan once again for a new original cottage docuseries, Great Canadian Cottages (8 x 30 minutes).

Produced by Toronto’s Architect Films for Blue Ant’s Cottage Life channel, the series examines unique cottages and cabins built in the Canadian wilderness. The show is set to go into production in June, and slated to premiere on Cottage Life this fall.

McAllister and Ryan previously hosted Peace Point Entertainment’s Colin and Justin’s Cabin Pressure, which followed the designers as they transformed cottages into their dream digs. Colin and Justin’s Cabin Pressure aired on Cottage Life for three seasons.

Architect Films president Mike Sheerin serves as as exec producer, while the prodco’s Joanne Virgo is a series producer on the project. In addition, Sam Linton, Blue Ant Media’s head of original content, Canadian media, oversees the series.

In addition to Great Canadian Cottages linear debut, 16 digital videos featuring cottage decorating tips will roll out on Cottage Life’s website.

Blue Ant International will represent the series for international licensing.
