3Bird Media sells Who Lives Here? into Quebec

A French-language version of the competitive property format is currently in production.

wholiveshereresizedToronto-based production company 3Bird Media has sold its original format Who Lives Here into Quebec.

Montreal’s Datsit Studios, in partnership with Bell Media’s Canal Vie, have gone into production on Qui Vie Ici?, a French-language version of the competitive property format.

The show follows participants as they tour each other’s homes, without knowing which belongs to whom, and then try to correctly guess who lives where.

Fremantle Media picked up global rights to the format (outside of Canada) in 2014 and sold it into Sweden in 2015. The Swedish version of the program airs on pubcaster SVT, where a second season of the show was recently launched.

Who Lives Here has been a huge success for FremantleMedia,” said Vasha Wallace, Fremantle Media’s EVP, Global Entertainment, in a statement. “It has consistently rated number one in its time slot, and peaked at a 42% share for all viewers.”

Who Lives Here was originally produced in English in partnership with Corus Entertainment’s W Network.
