Marguerite Pigott leaves Super Channel for CMPA post

marguerite pigottMarguerite Pigott is leaving Super Channel to take up a new Toronto-based post at the Canadian Media Production Association.

Pigott will move from her current position as head of creative development with Allarco Entertainment/Super Channel to become VP outreach and strategic initiatives at the CMPA, starting in May.

In her new role, Pigott will head up the indie producers’ annual Prime Time conference in Ottawa, develop a national digital strategy and encourage professional development for members.

“Her experience and enthusiasm make her the ideal candidate for this position in a time when the industry faces unprecedented and accelerated change,” Michael Hennessy, president and CEO of the CMPA, said in a statement Thursday.
