Bell Media’s CraveTV has acquired The Rolling Stones Olé Olé Olé!: A Trip Across Latin America in advance of its world premiere today at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The documentary, directed by Paul Dugdale (Adele Live at the Royal Albert Hall), follows the legendary band on their 2016 tour across 10 Latin American cities.
Following its TIFF premiere, the documentary will air exclusively on CraveTV in Canada beginning Oct. 14. Following its first-window release on the streaming service, the documentary will premiere across Bell Media’s The Movie Network, Bravo! and Much, before getting a broadcast premiere on CTV.
The deal was negotiated during the festival by Mike Cosentino, senior VP, CTV and specialty at Bell Media, and Eagle Rock Entertainment’s sales manager Thomas Howe.
As part of the deal, CraveTV has also acquired the companion concert film The Rolling Stones Havana Moon, a concert special from the band’s Havana tour stop, which was also directed by Dugdale.
Havana Moon will launch on CraveTV in January 2017 in an exclusive post-theatrical window and then roll out across Bell’s premium pay and specialty services, before a broadcast premiere on CTV.
Olé Olé Olé! was produced by London, U.K.-based JA Digital in co-production with Eagle Rock Films for Eagle Rock Entertainment and Promotone. Sam Bridger produced. Executive producers on the project are Julie Jakobek, Joyce Smyth, Terry Shand, Geoff Kempin and Jane Rose.
