Sole departs Rogers

Rogers Media Television CEO Leslie Sole has left the house, parent Rogers Communications confirmed Thursday.

Sole is the most recent departure from a Keith Pelley-era Rogers Media after Jason Tafler earlier this week was named chief digital officer, replacing outgoing senior vice president and general manager Claude Galipeau.

Sole, who has been with Rogers Television since 1987, last November was named chief content officer after expanding the TV division to include five Citytv TV stations, five OMNI-branded TV stations and three specialty channels.

Sole’s departure was first reported in Caart.ca.

Also last fall, former CBC exec Scott Moore was named president of broadcasting at Rogers Media, overseeing the TV assets.
