Continuum to return for fourth, final season

The Showcase and Syfy action-drama Continuum is to end after a fourth and final season of six episodes to air in 2015.

“It’s official. #Continuum renewed for a 4th and Final Season. Thank you Fans everywhere for all the amazing support and encouragement. X.S.,” creator Simon Barry announced on his Twitter account late Monday.

Shaw Media and Syfy also confirmed the end for Continuum after the fourth season.

The Reunion Pictures series stars Rachel Nichols as Kiera Cameron, a cop from the year 2077 trapped in present-day Vancouver as she pursues ruthless criminals from the future.

The futuristic drama is shot in Vancouver. The fourth cycle of Continuum is set to debut on Showcase in 2015.

Patrick Williams  is executive producer and director.

Reunion Pictures partners Tom Rowe, Lisa Richardson and Matthew O’Connor also executive produce, with Endemol handling international distribution.
