Reality is really setting in at E!, beginning with the launch of Ruby, a weight-loss series from the U.S. Style Network to air Tuesdays at 10 p.m. from Jan. 6.
E!, which revealed a mid-season schedule on Tuesday short on new comedies and dramas and long on unscripted fare, will also air The Dish, a celebrity gossip series, on Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. starting Jan. 13. Party Monsters: Cabo will air Wednesdays at 9 p.m. from Jan. 21. The reality competition series from the U.S.-based E! channel features event planners attempting to throw the ultimate party for celebrity guests.
The Canwest network will also see the return of perennials including Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, How I Met Your Mother and The Biggest Loser: Couples.
‘From exquisite red carpet specials and A-list parties to the uplifting stories of personal triumph, we’re gearing up for another exceptional winter season,’ said Barbara Williams, EVP of content at Canwest Broadcasting, summing up E!’s mid-season schedule.
E! will continue to air U.S. simulcasts that include NBC series Knight Rider on Wednesdays at 8 p.m., Worst Week on Mondays at 9:30 p.m., and the U.S. remake of Australian sitcom Kath & Kim at 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays.
E! will also pull from its program supply agreement with the U.S.-based E!: Entertainment Television series like E! News Weekend, The Soup, Chelsea Lately and True Hollywood Story.
Canadian content on E! mid-season includes Show Me Yours on Saturdays at 9 p.m., followed by G-Spot at 10 p.m.
