Halifax, Nova Scotia-based Huminah Huminah Animation’s new Funibooks division has launched the first pop-up eBooks for the Barnes & Noble Nook tablet based on its popular animated kids TV series I’m A Dinosaur.

The first four of 52 titles, I’m a Dinosaur – Apatosaurus, I’m a Dinosaur – Troodon, I’m a Dinosaur – Beipiaosaurus, and I’m a Dinosaur – T Rex, are now available and the eBooks will be released for iPad in two to three weeks.

I’m A Dinosaur (52 x 2-minutes) currently airs in Canada on TVOntario, TFO, SCN, Knowledge Network, and is distributed by Monster Distributes and produced by Adam Mimnagh. The series was recently picked up by Discovery Kids and since its YouTube arrival, I’m a Dinosaur – Apatosaurus has attracted more than 400,000 views.

Huminah, which has done 3D service work on TV series including Mike the Knight, is also a gaming studio and opened a new studio in Hamilton, Ontario in October 2011.
