Vancouver-based Lionsgate will handle home entertainment distribution for A&E Network, History and Lifetime as part of a long-term partnership with the U.S. cable networks’ parent firm, A+E Networks.
The deal encompasses factual titles such as A&E’s Storage Wars, Shipping Wars and Duck Dynasty (pictured); History’s Pawn Stars, American Pickers and America: The Story of Us; and Lifetime’s Dance Moms; as well as mini-series, acquired classic TV series and Major League Baseball games, including the complete games from the World Series.
Lionsgate, which recently acquired Summit Entertainment, also has distribution deals with Miramax and StudioCanal in North America.
