The National Film Board has appointed Alicia Smith as Prairie Centre producer. Smith will be responsible for producing interactive, documentary and animation projects with directors, producers and digital-media makers across Manitoba.
Smith has over a decade of digital experience, including time spent producing the award-winning online magazine CBCRadio3.com, as well as freelance for NFB Interactive on a number of projects.
“Alicia’s creative skills, her new-media experience and the deep connection she has to the Winnipeg arts communities make her a great addition to an NFB team that’s producing unique digital and film projects in Manitoba and across Canada,” said David Christensen, executive producer of the NFB’s Prairie and North West Centres. “Her appointment is part of the NFB’s longstanding and ongoing engagement with filmmakers and artists in Manitoba.”
