Former Elevation Pictures exec Sarah Timlick has joined Amazon MGM Studios as head of theatrical distribution, Canada.

In the new role, Timlick (pictured) is overseeing theatrical distribution in Canada and reports to Kevin Wilson, Amazon MGM’s head of theatrical distribution. This marks the first hire for the studio’s planned international distribution division.

Timlick joined Elevation in January 2015 as its manager, sales distribution. Prior to moving to Amazon MGM, she served as Elevation’s head of theatrical sales distribution. She also worked at Entertainment One and Alliance Films in exhibitor relations roles.

Timlick has also served as board director for both the Canadian Association of Film Distributors and Exporters and the Canadian Picture Pioneers, as well as chair of the board of directors for the Ontario Film Authority prior to its October 2019 closure.
