Toronto and L.A.-based Blink49 Studios has announced an expansion of its content operations with a focus on branded content, global formats and acquisitions.
As part of the expansion, the company has hired Adam Steinman (pictured right) as EVP, global formats and acquisitions, and Adam Puchalsky (pictured left) as president, brand studio, effective immediately.
Based in L.A., Steinman reports to Tara Long, president of global unscripted and Pancho Mansfield, president of scripted. His role is focused on identifying, acquiring and developing content formats for scripted and unscripted programming.
Prior to joining Blink49, Steinman was president and founder of Mount Royal Films, a global film and television “format lab” in L.A. From 2010 to 2023, he was also VP, creative, format development and sales at Warner Bros. International Television Production, where he helped launch the WB/CBC Canada format incubator.
Based in New York, Puchalsky reports to Long with a focus on creating brand-driven content that integrates strategic partnerships with storytelling.
Puchalsky was most recently global head of brand partnerships at Hartbeat, founded by Kevin Hart. Previously, he was the global head of content and brand experiences, U.S. chief content officer at Wavemaker, and UM Studios’ SVP, managing director.
“[Steinman and Puchalsky’s] expertise and leadership in content innovation and brand partnerships will accelerate our strategy to produce bold, engaging content while expanding our reach in Canada and internationally,” said Blink49 CEO John Morayniss in a statement.
Earlier this month, the Fifth Season-backed prodco hired Mark Ford, founder of the unscripted prodco Creature Films, as chief creative officer, unscripted. In August 2024, the company hired Nadine Rajabi as unscripted EVP.
