Bell, Corus Entertainment expand multi-year agreement

The agreement now allows Home Network and Flavour Network to be distributed on Bell Fibe and satellite television.

Bell and Corus Entertainment have expanded their multi-year agreement, adding Home Network and Flavour Network on Bell Fibe and satellite television.

This agreement builds upon the prior launch of StackTV, Corus’ multi-channel streaming service, on the Bell Fibe TV app. Viewers will also be able to stream the networks on StackTV.

Home and Flavour launched on Dec. 30, 2024 as a rebrand of the HGTV Canada and Food Networks Canada, respectively, after Corus’ agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery ended.

The networks feature 460 hours of content in their 2024-25 winter schedule, with more than 110 hours of original Canadian programming, according to an earlier news release.

Corus co-CEO Troy Reeb previously told Playback Daily the networks will have more original Canadian content compared to their predecessors.

Canadian series part of Flavour’s 22-series lineup include season four of Great Chocolate Showdown from Toronto-based Nikki Ray Media Agency, (8 x 60 minutes; pictured) Carnival Eats season 10 (13 x 30 minutes) from Alibi Entertainment, Pamela’s Cooking with Love (8 x 60 minutes) from Fireworks Media Group and Big Burger Battle (6 x 60 minutes, Nikki Ray Media Agency).

Home Network’s 15-series lineup includes three Canadian titles, starting with season two of Pamela’s Garden of Eden (8 x 60 minutes) from Fireworks Media Group, season two of Renovation Resort (8 x 60 minutes), produced by McGillivray Entertainment Media (MEM), and Scott’s Vacation House Rules (MEM; pictured) season six.

In December, Corus also greenlit two series for the Flavour Network from Nikki Ray Media Agency, the 7 x 60-minute holiday-themed baking competition series Holiday Bakeshop and Halloween Bakeshop.

Rogers Communications and Corus are in a dispute in the Federal Court of Appeal over the alignment and carriage of several channels, including Flavour and Home. On Jan. 1, Rogers launched linear channels under the HGTV and Food Network brands.
