Corus Entertainment acquires raft of titles from ITV Studios

More than 80 hours of programming has been picked up for Slice, Home Network and Flavour Network.

Corus Entertainment has acquired more than 80 hours of content from the U.K.’s ITV Studios for Slice, Home Network and Flavour Network.

Acquired for Slice are two seasons of the reality competition show Side Hustlers (10 x 60 minutes; pictured), produced by Hello Sunshine. The series, which first debuted as a Roku Channel original, follows six entrepreneurs as they transform their “side hustles” into an investment-worthy business.

Two Channel 4 series were picked up for Home Network: Worst House On The Street season one (6 x 60 minutes) and two (12 x 60 minutes) and Can’t Sell, Must Sell (6 x 60 minutes). Both series from South Shore Productions feature developers Scarlette Douglas and Stuart Douglas as they help people transform run-down houses into dream homes for buyers.

Several titles were acquired for Flavour Network, including a raft of culinary series from celebrity chef Marcus Wareing. The series, all produced by Plimsoll Productions, include Marcus In The Med: Mallorca (10 x 30 minutes), Marcus Wareing Simply Provence (15 x 30 minutes), Marcus Wareing at Christmas (10 x 30 minutes) and Marcus Wareing’s Tales From A Kitchen Garden season one (10 x 30 minutes) and two (20 x 30 minutes).

Other titles picked up for Flavour include Ainsley’s Great Garden Cook Off (10 x 60 minutes; Plimsoll Productions), Judi Love’s Culinary Cruise (5 x 60 minutes; Title Role Productions) and Tom Kerridge Cooks Britain (6 x 30 minutes; Blink Films).

The deal was brokered on behalf of ITV Studios by Craig Bohland, VP, sales for Canada.

Corus announced the inaugural winter and spring programming lineup for Home and Flavour on Monday (Dec. 2). The new branding for the channels currently known as HGTV Canada and Food Network Canada will hit airwaves on Dec. 30.
