Vancouver-based Dunya Media has launched Dunya Post, a post-production supervision company specializing in feature films and commercials with offices in Vancouver and Los Angeles.
Founded by filmmakers Shyam Valera and Kashif Pasta, Dunya Post has a network of experienced post artists and partner facilities in Vancouver and Toronto, according to a news release.
“With productions getting more complex and producers stretched thinner than ever, we really want to offer that one-stop shop that can take the mental load off,” said executive producer Pasta in a statement. “Post is complex, but it doesn’t have to be complicated.”
Valera added that their experience as producers allows the company to account for potential savings opportunities in the budgeting stage.
The new company is currently post-supervising the comedy feature Racewalkers, starring and produced by Robbie Amell and directed by Kevin Claydon and Phil Moniz.
Dunya Post also has a goal to diversify the talent roster available in the post-production field.
“We’re all about hiring the best person for the job. But the best people in our industry are often overlooked, and our roster is full of world class talents who happen to have a wide range of backgrounds,” said Pasta.
