Sherlock is written by Steven Moffat (Doctor Who, Coupling) and Mark Gatiss (Doctor Who, The League of Gentlemen),
Luther is a BBC/BBC America co-pro, while Sherlock is a co-pro with Hartswood Films and Masterpiece for BBC Wales.
