Disney+’s X-Men ’97 earned the third spot in digital originals following a surge in demand in early May.
X-Men ’97, which is a revival of the original animated series of the 1990s, was 32.2 times more in demand than the average TV series in Canada for the week of May 6 to 12, according to Parrot Analytics. The series gained nearly seven demand points to jump from No. 9 to No. 3 on the digital chart. It also entered the overall TV chart at No. 8.
Prime Video’s Hazbin Hotel (51.7) kept its top spot on the digital list from the previous week, despite a slight dip in demand, while Netflix’s drama series Bridgerton (38.3) saw another spike in demand points and held its No. 2 spot.
Netflix’s new series Baby Reindeer entered the digital chart at No. 5 with an average of 28.5 demand points, while Prime Video’s Invincible (24.1) saw a dip of nearly five demand points to move down to No. 10 from No. 4.
On the TV chart, NBC’s Saturday Night Live (44.6) gained nearly 12 demand points to jump up from No. 7 to the second spot, bumping HBO’s Game of Thrones (39.5) to No. 3. Hazbin Hotel led the list.
NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (33.3) also saw a boost in demand to move up from No. 8 to No. 5 and Prime Video’s The Boys (31.6) re-entered the list at No. 10.
