New CFTPA board

The Canadian Film and Television Production Association has a new board of directors for 1994/95. Kevin DeWalt of Minds Eye Pictures is the chair, with vice-chairs Annabel Slaight (Owl tv) and Tom Berry (Allegro Films). Douglas Barrett of MacMillan Binch is secretary and Stephen Ellis of Ellis Enterprises is treasurer.

Other board members are Barry Cowling of Citadel Communications, Doug Dales of P.S. Production Services, Richard Davis of Once and Future Films, Charles Falzon of Catalyst Entertainment, Gord Haines of Alliance Communications, Lon Hall of Lon Hall Entertainment Law, Gwen Iveson of Motion Picture Guarantors, Steve Levitan of Protocol Entertainment, Derek Mazur of Credo Group, Matthew O’Connor of Pacific Motion Pictures, Linda Schuyler of Epitome Pictures, Kevin Shea of Atlantis Films, Andy Thomson of Great North Productions, Harold Tichenor of Crescent Entertainment and Kevin Tierney of Les Productions La Fete.

At the cftpa annual general meeting, held April 8 in Toronto, the organization presented Arthur Weinthal, CTV Television Network vice-president of entertainment programming, with the cftpa/Kodak Jack Chisholm Award for lifetime contribution to the film and television industry.
