Blue Ant Media’s Saloon Media has partnered with Amazon Studios to coproduce Ted Bundy: Falling for a Killer.
The five-part docuseries will launch on Amazon Prime Video in 2020 and chronicles the serial killer’s relationship with long-term girlfriend Elizabeth Kendall, with Kendall and her daughter Molly sharing their experiences alongside survivors of Bundy’s attacks.
Saloon Media producer Trish Wood will direct and produce the series. Wood previously worked as a journalist at CBC, where she spent a decade reporting and producing investigative documentaries for the network’s current affairs program, The Fifth Estate.
Blue Ant Media acquired Saloon Media one year ago, and has commissioned several original series for its channels, including The Witches of Salem, Hotel Paranormal and a localization of the BBC docuseries Life Below Zero.
The prodco hired former Shaw Media exec Nick Crowe in July of this year to lead development on factual series and specials for the global market.
