Gusto Worldwide Media has sold 83 half-hour episodes and more than 200 short-form videos to Russian pay-TV company Red Media.
Under the deal, titles including Watts on the Grill (13 x 30 minutes), Fresh Market Dinners (10 x 30 minutes) and Fish the Dish (30 x 30 minutes) will air on Red Media’s channel Kitchen TV, as well as in the Baltic States and Commonwealth of Independent States territories. In addition to the short-form content, the agreement also included The Urban Vegetarian (15 x 30 minutes) and Bonacini’s Italy (15 x 30 minutes).
Gusto’s Corey Caplan, senior director of international sales, said in a statement that the deal is reflective of a growing appetite among buyers for short-form food content.
The deal with Red Media comes on the heels of deals Philippines-based ACCION (for 121 episodes and 386 short-form videos), Australia’s SBS Food (which picked up 40 hours of Gusto content) and U.S. streaming service Pluto TV (for eight original series and four specials).
