Just For Laughs and CBC are teaming up to produce a comedy special in time for Canada’s 150th and JFL’s 35th birthday celebrations.

The two-hour event, Stand-Up On Guard For Thee, will be hosted by Schitt’s Creek showrunner and star Daniel Levy and is set to premiere on CBC this summer.

Stand-Up on Guard For Thee will highlight some of the best moments in the comedy festival’s history and also track the trajectory of some of Canada’s top comedians.

Just For Laughs was recently presented with the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television’s Icon Award. In addition to the famed Montreal comedy festival, JFL has produced more than 1,000 hours of TV stand-up, scripted and variety programming.
