Stone Cold wraps in Halifax

Halifax – Tom Selleck was in Halifax last month shooting Stone Cold. Selleck produces and stars in the MOW mystery from Sony Pictures and CBS Networks, which filmed in and around Halifax from Oct. 28 to Nov. 19 under director Robert Harmon. Mimi Rogers (Ginger Snaps) and Viola Davis (Far from Heaven) also star. Executive producer Michael Brandman and John Fasano penned the script based on a novel by Robert B. Parker. Laura Bracken

Four for Singleton

Toronto – Director John Singleton will be in Toronto early next year to shoot the revenge drama Four Brothers for Paramount. The pic, slated to shoot January to March at Cinespace studios, stars Mark Wahlberg as one of four siblings reunited by the mysterious death of their adoptive mother. Ice Cube (Barbershop, Friday After Next) is also expected to star. Singleton, who recently turned out 2 Fast 2 Furious and the remake of Shaft, is working with producers Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Doom) and Ric Kidney (The Rundown), production manager Rob Pazdro and production coordinator Andrea Nesbitt. Hey, Baby

Halifax – Director Peter Werner recently wrapped principal photography on VZS Films’ Baby (working title), a TV movie about teenage pregnancy for Lifetime Network. Written by Nancy Silvers, the MOW stars Danielle Panabaker, Mercedes Ruehl (The Fisher King) and Jane Krakowski (Alfie). Shooting started Oct. 18 in and around Halifax with executive producer Bernie Sofronski and producer Randy Sutter. Elizabeth Guildford is the production manager. Laura Bracken

Halifax – The CBS MOW Suzanne’s Diary for Nicholas wrapped Oct. 23 in Halifax. Director Richard Friedenberg wrote the screenplay based on the novel of the same name by James Patterson. Jeff Freilich produces for Fox Television Studios, with Lourdes Diaz executive producing. Christina Applegate (Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy), Kathleen Rose Perkins (Burning Annie) and Johnathon Schaech (That Thing You Do!) star in the story about a woman whose newfound love disappears, leaving her with only a diary to piece together his life before they met.
