Hot Sheet: The Umbrella Academy breaks into digital top three

The fourth and final season of Netflix's The Umbrella Academy saw the series land at No. 3 on the digital originals chart.

Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy saw a large jump in demand in Canada during the second week of August for its final season.

The comic book-based superhero dramedy, which films in Toronto, Hamilton and Burlington, Ont., was 33.9 times more in demand than the average TV series in Canada during the week of Aug. 5 to Aug. 11, according to Parrot Analytics. It debuted at No. 3 on the digital originals chart. The fourth and final season of the show premiered on Aug. 8.

Prime Video series Batman: Caped Crusader debuted on the digital originals list at No. 7, while Reacher and HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver made re-appearances on their respective charts.

HBO’s House of the Dragon, available in Canada through Crave, and Prime Video’s The Boys retained their dominance of Canadian demand for the week.
