Forte, Headtrip ink deal with WB for Snapshots format

The recently greenlit kids series for Kids' CBC has a head start on world travel.

Andrea Gabourie’s Forte Entertainment and Toronto- and LA-based Headtrip Films have found early success with their new kids series, Snapshots.

The 6 x 30-minute unscripted live-action series was recently greenlit by Kids’ CBC for a fall 2016 broadcast and goes to camera this month. But alongside, the prodcos have also inked a deal with Warner Bros International to option the format rights to the series in New Zealand.

Snapshots is described as an interactive, hosted competition series that encourages children to tell stories through photography. It will have a companion website that will host the series’ photo challenges and become a venue for an expert judging panel and for the children to share their work.

The series was co-created by Forte’s Andrea and Mitch Gabourie, both of whom executive produce. Financing for the series was provided in part by the CMF, Bell Fund and Shaw Rocket Fund.
