Paramount+ has greenlit and acquired the feature documentary My Nightmare Stalker: The Eva LaRue Story for the U.S., Mexico, Latin America and Germany from Toronto’s Forté Entertainment.

My Nightmare Stalker: The Eva LaRue Story is directed by Stephen Scott with Sarah Sharkey Pearce as a writer and producer. Andrea (pictured right) and Mitchell Gabourie (pictured left) along with LaRue executive produce for Forté Entertainment while Susan Zirinsky and Terence Wrong are the executive producers for See It Now Studios.

The feature doc was part of Bell Media’s original content slate from June 5 for its Oxygen True Crime channel and has also been acquired by Hearst U.K.

Forté has optioned LaRue’s life rights to develop multiple projects, with this doc being the first to hit the market. A scripted feature adaptation of My Nightmare Stalker: The Eva LaRue Story is currently in development.

“Stalking is a global crisis, often involving violence and lasting psychological trauma,” said LaRue in a statement. “Yet many victims are denied justice due to weak laws, limited awareness and the challenge of proving these crimes. I hope my story raises awareness and helps drive meaningful change in how authorities protect victims and pursue justice.”
