Toronto’s Forté Entertainment has partnered with Mississauga, Ont.-headquartered Viral Nation to develop Beyond Demure, a docuseries on Jools Lebron (pictured), the U.S. transgender TikTok influencer behind 2024’s “very demure, very mindful” catchphrase.
The docuseries, to be produced by Forté, was announced Friday (June 20) at a VidCon panel in Anaheim, Calif. It follows Lebron’s story and triumphs, from her early life to her 2024 internet fame and the funding of her transition. As the project is in development, further details are yet to be revealed.
Viral Nation is an influencer talent agency that pairs content creators with brands looking to boost visibility and engage new audiences. Viral Nation works with Lebron on a variety of brand initiatives, the company’s head of programming Paul Telner told Playback Daily.
Beyond Demure represents the latest in Viral Nation’s original IP expansion. In October 2024, the company partnered with Vancouver’s Wind Sun Sky Entertainment for two series, one animated and one live-action, featuring YouTuber Like Nastya. That June, it partnered with Wind Sun Sky on an interactive Roblox experience featuring content creator family The McCartys.
The series is part of Forté’s slate of creator-driven content, meant to elevate distinctive creators with built-in audiences. That slate, according to a Forté spokesperson, includes the upcoming documentary for Paramount’s See It Now Studios, My Nightmare Stalker: The Eva LaRue Story. The 90-minute feature will premiere on Bell Media’s Oxygen True Crime in Canada and explores the 12-year period in which LaRue (CSI: Miami) and her daughter were targeted by a stalker.
“Jools is a generational talent, and Beyond Demure is exactly the kind of creator-driven series we believe today’s audiences and platforms are hungry for,” said Forté co-founders Andrea and Mitch Gabourie in a statement.
