Bitten makes final bow on Space

The series finale was significantly down on overnights but was among the top 10 most-watched shows on Space for the broadcast year.

The final episode of Bitten aired on Space last Friday, drawing an overnight audience of 83,000 (2+).

Although down significantly over previous-season averages, the ratings are likely to climb after catch-up is factored in. A spokesperson for Bell Media said that Bitten‘s fourth season is among the top 10 most-watched shows on Space for the broadcast year-to-date in both the 2-plus and 25-to-54 demographic.

In its first season on Space, the show became the highest-rated original series in the channel’s history, drawing an average audience of 398,000 viewers in season one.

Bell Media initially ordered Bitten, based on the Women of the Otherworld novels by Kelley Armstrong, in summer 2012. U.S. network Syfy picked up the series the following year after the series had aired on Space.

Space ordered a third season of the Hoodwink Entertainment, No Equal Entertainment and Entertainment One Television-produced show in May 2015, before announcing the show’s cancellation in December.
