Toronto’s Peace Point Rights and Montreal’s Muse Entertainment have inked a deal making Peace Point the exclusive distributor of Muse’s slate in Latin America.
Among the scripted titles included in the agreement are The Kennedys – After Camelot (a 4 x 60-minute miniseries starring Katie Holmes), White Hot: A Sandra Brown Mystery (1 x 120 minutes), Signed, Sealed, Delivered (a 14 x 120-minute MOW wheel about a group of postal workers who return lost mail to its intended recipients) and Aurora Teagarden Mysteries (6 x 120-minute MOW movie wheel on a series of books about a librarian who turns to solving murders).
Also included are The Gourmet Detective (3 x 120 minutes, plus 2 x 120 minutes, about a culinary master who uses his knowledge of cuisine to solve murders), Disorderly Conduct (a MOW about two socialites who move to Wyoming but quickly end up on the wrong side of the law) and My Life as a Doormat (a MOW about a best-selling author whose life spins out of control after encountering problems with writer’s block).
Earlier this year Peace Point secured sales of more than 100 hours of its slate, including a Muse one-hour drama Played. In September, Muse Entertainment also announced it had sold its “light mystery” MOW wheels, including The Aurora Teagarden Mysteries, into approximately 85 territories ahead of MIPCOM, and will produce seven to 10 new TV movies in the coming year.
