Tricon Films and Television
Tricon has secured a raft of global sales for a number of series within its catalogue, including Mars & Venus Today, Rock Icons and  Sistema Revolution. Rock Icons was picked up by Bell Media’s The Movie Network. As earlier announced, Brazil’s  Globosat also picked the rights to the series. Globosat also picked up Mars & Venus today (1 x 60 minutes), while the 13 x 30 minute technology series Get Connected has been acquired by Al Hurra Middle East and Brand New Media Asia. Foxtel Australia, meanwhile, has taken Sistema Revolution (1 x 60 minutes).  Meanwhile, survival documentary Abandon Ship (1 x 60 minutes) was taken by Discovery Poland, while the real-life medical series Extraordinary Medicine (12 x 30 minutes) was picked up by Discovery Latin America. NC+ Poland Planete has acquired three programs including Birth of a Car (2 x 60 minutes), Corpus (1 x 60 minutes) and 20 Moves (1 x 60 minutes), which was also sold to SBS Australia. Tough Love (2 x 60 minutes) and Academy Award-winning doc short Inocente (1 x 40 minutes) have been sent to Taiwan’s Yu-Shiu. In addition, unsolved murder series To Catch a Killer (8 x 60 minutes) and I Didn’t Do It (7 x 60) were sent to Africa’s Strong Technologies. I Didn’t Do It was also picked up by NTV Japan, while trivia game show On the Spot (45 x 30 minutes) was shipped to Iran’s IRIB.

CraveTV
The Librarians season one has landed on CraveTV, it was announced Friday. Airing on Space, the series is a spinoff of The Librarian feature film and stars Rebecca Romijn (X-Men), Christian Kane (Leverage), Lindy Booth (Dawn of the Dead). The announcement comes ahead of the show’s season two launch on Space on Nov. 1 at 8 p.m.

Soda Pictures
Thunderbird’s Soda Pictures has acquired the Canadian rights to Difret, from writer/director Zeresenay Berhane Mehari and executive producer Angelina Jolie. Read more about the deal here.

Pacific Northwest Pictures
It’s been a busy week for Vancouver’s Pacific Northwest Pictures, after the distributor acquired the Canadian rights to both Paul Dalio’s Touched with Fire and writer/director Jeremy Thomas’ Ally Was Screaming. Read more about those deals here and here.

Video Services Corp
Video Services Corp (VSC) has acquired the U.S. and Canadian rights across all platforms to Brett and Jason Butler’s second feature film, First Round Down. Read more about the deal here.
