TSN has signed former CFL quarterback Danny McManus as a game analyst for the upcoming season, putting him alongside play-by-play announcers including Rod Black for 28 games beginning June 28.
The 17-year CFL quarterback and three-time Grey Cup champion announced his retirement from the league Monday shortly before joining TSN.
While the majority of his work will be next to Black in the broadcast booth, McManus will also appear as part of a three-man team on several occasions alongside play-by-play announcer Chris Cuthbert and color commentator Glen Suitor. He will also provide analysis and insight from field level for select games.
‘I’ve been playing football for more than 25 years. Football is in my blood and I look forward to the next phase of my career as an analyst on TSN,’ said McManus in a release.
The network will air all 50 of its CFL telecasts live on TSN and TSN Broadband.
