Deals: Blue Ant Media, Cineflix Rights, Farpoint Films

Blue Ant Media launches FAST channels on Foxtel, Cineflix Rights sells Canadian series in Europe, and more.

Blue Ant Media has expanded its partnership with Foxtel, launching FAST channels HauntTV and Love Pets as linear channels on the Australian broadcaster’s iQ4 and VOD services.

The programming was available to Foxtel subscribers as of June 24.

Paranormal-themed HauntTV’s slate includes Haunted Case Files (13 x 60 minutes), Hotel Paranormal (20 x 60 minutes, pictured), Eli Roth Presents: A Ghost Ruined my Life (16 x 60 minutes) and Scariest Night of my Life (13 x 60 minutes).

Love Pets’ lineup includes The Bizarre Pet Vets (6 x 45 minutes), seasons one to 10 of Hope for Wildlife (137 x 60 minutes) and Work on the Wild Side (20 x 60 minutes).

Cineflix Rights

Cineflix Rights has sold three Canadian series across the central and eastern European region.

TV3 Group Baltics has bought Crave and Bloomberg’s An Optimist’s Guide to the Planet (6 x 60 minutes) from Toronto’s Cream Productions and the U.K.’s Wildfire Television, as well as seasons one and two of HGTV’s Property Brothers: Forever Home (80 x 60 minutes, Scott Brothers Entertainment).

AMC Networks International Central and Northern Europe has picked up HGTV’s Property Brothers: Commitment Issues (working title, 14 x 60 minutes), also from Scott Brothers Entertainment alongside Warner Bros. Discovery, for its Spektrum Home channels across Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia.

First announced during Rogers’ upfront presentation earlier this month, the series follows the brothers as they help homeowners in the purchase of their dream homes before beginning the renovation process. Production is set for this summer and fall.

Farpoint Films

Winnipeg-based producer and distributor Farpoint Films has closed new European deals for one of its flagship paranormal shows, as well as a forthcoming series on UFOs.

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) UK & Ireland has acquired season two of Farpoint’s Ghosts Off Grid, which sees hosts Johnny Wiebe and Jordyn Penner investigating paranormal activity in the outdoors.

The series will premiere on the Discovery+ streamer in the U.K. and Ireland in August, followed by linear channel Really. The deal with WBD also included a pick-up of season one of the series for Germany, where it debuted on TLC earlier this month.

In addition, Hearst Networks U.K. has acquired the first season of the in-production new series UFO POV, which draws on eyewitness accounts and footage, expert analysis and innovative special effects to flip the UFO-spotting paradigm on its head and depict what the UFO itself would have seen during a close encounter. The series will premiere on Hearst’s Blaze channel in the U.K. in 2026.

Both Ghosts Off Grid and UFO POV were originally commissioned for Super Channel in Canada.
