CosmoBlue Media to distribute Oh! Jazz platform in Canada

The jazz concert-focused platform will be available on the soon-to-be-launched CosmoGO.

Geneva-headquartered CosmoBlue Media is set to distribute the Oh! Jazz streaming platform in Canada.

The platform became available to Canadians in March via its website, a CosmoBlue spokesperson told Playback Daily. It will be made available on the soon-to-be-launched CosmoGO, a multi-platform service integrating transactional VOD, PPV and AVOD. The pending launch of the platform follows CosmoBlue Media’s January acquisition of the Cineplex Store.

The partnership between the companies officially launched in February with concert events hosted at select Cineplex VIP theatres in Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, Montreal and Vancouver.

“We’re thrilled to bring Oh! Jazz into the CosmoBlue family,” said Tanuka Roy (pictured), general manager of CosmoBlue Media Canada, in a statement. “This partnership brings something truly special to Canadian audiences—not just entertainment, but access to a living, breathing global art form that transcends language and borders.”

Headquartered in Sydney, Oh! Jazz was founded by the former president of Fox Europe and Africa, Jesus Perezagua in 2021. The platform features more than 1,300 artists and performances from festivals such as the Madrid Latin Jazz Festival, the Chicago and New York Jazz Piano Centerstage and Japan’s Flamenco Jazz Festival, all produced by Oh! Jazz. It also includes playlists, masterclasses and interviews. The platform also notes that 35% of subscription fees will go to artists on the platform.

CosmoBlue Media, which officially launched in Canada earlier this month, plans to expand its theatrical offerings to exhibitors across the country via feature films, live concerts, sports showcases and more available in theatres and on CosmoGO.
