Blue Ice Docs picks up the TIFF-bound Ontario Place doc Your Tomorrow, Peacock acquires three redknot series, and more.

Blue Ice Docs has acquired Canadian rights to Ali Weinstein’s documentary Your Tomorrow, which will make its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September.

Your Tomorrow is a TVO original documentary that looks at the final year of Ontario Place before its redevelopment, filmed through the perspective of some of the people impacted, ranging from environmentalists, security guards, bird watchers and retirees.

The doc will debut at TIFF as part of the Docs programme before being broadcast on TVO in early 2025. Blue Ice Docs will handle a theatrical release before its TVO premiere. Your Tomorrow is produced in association with the Canada Media Fund, Telefilm Canada and the Canada Council for the Arts.
